10 May 2022 Tenfold Masterclass: Finding Your Flow

"Flow is a path that anyone can take towards accelerated learning, increased focus and higher performance" according to multi-time best selling author and researcher of superhumans Steven Kotler. Technically defined as an “optimal state of consciousness where we feel our best and perform our best,” the term flow takes its name from the sensation it confers. Other terms you may have heard for flow including 'getting in the zone' or 'peak state', and although often associated with extreme sports, flow is equally relevant to corporate athletes. As reported by Kotler in HBR, following a 10-year McKinsey study "top executives reported being five times more productive in flow. This means, if you can spend Monday in flow, you’ll get as much done as your steady-state peers do in a week." Please join us for this unforgettable Masterclass as we decode the science of ultimate human performance. 0:00 Intro 3:00 Who is Steven Kotler? 5:34 Steven's thoughts on the road to net-zero 9:49 Stevens definition of peak performance, flow & the impossible 13:12 Steven's personal story 22:30 The three tiers of goals to maximise motivation 27:00 Flow and Scarcity vs Abundance 31:05 Frustration is one of the first stages of flow 37:28 Why you need to sleep 7-8 hours to get into flow 39:18 Q1: When you see scarcity in large organisation, how do you shift a culture to abundance? 42:55 Q2: How do you encourage others to set goals / Passion recipe 47:48 Steven's formula for the impossible 51:10 Steven's peak performance daily checklist 53:23 "Stretch but don't snap" - the 4% flow trigger 55:11 Why not going big is bad for us 58:02 Three reflective questions

3 May 2022 Tenfold Special: Inflation for Pricing | Tenfold Australia

After almost six years of low inflation, underlying price pressures started to intensify midway through 2021. A tight labour market, spurred on by low interest rates and record amounts of government spending, has boosted demand for goods and services across sectors, which is coinciding with supply chain disruptions and higher shipping prices. Many multinationals have already put through price increases but were they sufficient, how were they received by the market, and are more to come? Please join us with your CEO, CFO, Head of Pricing (or equivalent) for this discussion about pricing strategy lead by Chris Petzoldt, the global partner and local managing director of pricing strategist firm Simon-Kucher. We know the world of work has changed dramatically over the last two years but what does that mean for HR in the world of multinationals? • What new skills and mindframes are required and which are becoming redundant? • Has the positioning and power of HR changed for the better or worse as a result of the pandemic? • How can you best prepare yourself for a successful HR career in multinationals given all the change? These questions and many more will be answered by three of Australia’s leading multinational HR Directors at a special online event exclusively for multinational HR teams, i.e. the Australian & New Zealand HR teams of global companies headquartered overseas. 27 April 2022 Dialogue: Election Special | Tenfold Australia

With an election looming, this Dialogue will look at what the key issues are for both parties and the implications of the mood in the electorate for the next Australian Federal Government. We have assembled a panel representing the broad political spectrum with Andrew Humpherson, CEO and Managing Director of conservative focussed Government Relations firm Barton Deakin; Peter Lewis, Director of left leaning Communications and Research firm Essential Media; and Jennifer Hewett, National Affairs columnist for the AFR, who writes about this subject daily. Against a backdrop of so many uncontrollable events ranging from Covid-19, natural disasters, global uncertainty, a European war, increasing inflation and rising interest rates and those that can be managed including climate policy, fiscal policy, healthcare, education and industrial relations. Can Scott Morrison repeat the “miracle”? Can Anthony Albanese convince the public he’s PM material? Will the Independents derail the results for both? Is the public jaded with Government in general and just wants a change, or can they be bothered? Join us as we explore these and other election related topics and explore the impact that the election result will have on your business and give you the context to share with your head office. We look forward to hearing your views and capturing the sentiment that you are observing from across your teams. Attendee list: https://events.tenfoldaustralia.com/Z1Xzzw

“The world has changed but for many their approach to leadership is stuck in the past. We need a new form of leadership for a new era. While it might be natural to experience these swirling currents of change as a threatening force to be survived or an inconvenience to be managed, those who will lead us into the future see complexity as the natural state of the world. These leaders use the forces of change to cultivate new possibilities for their people, their organisations, their communities, and the environment.   Conversely, leaders stuck in the past typically display one or more of five pernicious and pervasive mindtraps, according to Jennifer Garvey Berger, who supports leaders across the globe to thrive in complexity as the CEO of Cultivating Leadership. Jennifer is the author of three books, Changing on the job: Developing Leaders for a Complex World, Simple Habits for Complex Times: Powerful Practices for Leaders (written with Keith Johnston) and Unlocking Leadership Mindtraps: How to Thrive in Complexity.   Please join us with your country management team for this very relevant Tenfold Australia Masterclass with Jennifer who will help your team to unlock the five mindtraps (simple stories, rightness, agreement, control, ego.) and thrive in these times of complexity. 0:00 Intro 3:23 Who is Jennifer Garvey Berger 4:42 Jennifer's observations during this complex time 9:25 Mindtrap 1: Simple stories 11:02 Mindtrap 2: Rightness 12:54 Mindtrap 3: Agreement 15:58 Mindtrap 4: Control 17:26 Mindtrap 5: Ego 29:12 Audience question 1: Karl Durrance, the MD for ANZ at Stripe 31:52 Audience question 2: Deborah Ellison, Director, Strategic Planning APAC at AMEX GBT 36:52 Audience question 3: Anish Singh, Head of HR ANZ at Unilever 39:50 Practical tips to help us unlock the mindtraps 44:01 The importance of gratitude & wonder 45:32 Tips for multinational leaders to help unlock HQ from the 5 mindtraps 50:11 Three reflection questions from Jennifer for your top team to unpack

28 January 2022 Masterclass with Jim Kouzes | Tenfold Australia

Masterclass: Exemplary Leadership The pandemic has changed much about the world of work, especially for leaders. For example, leaders are increasingly expected to not only manage performance but also well-being, moving from the role of coach to that of counsellor as well. But not everything has changed. The core practices of extraordinary leadership have proven to be pandemic proof. On that basis any leader wishing to future proof their leadership effectiveness would do well to know what these practices are. To kick start our Masterclass series for 2022 we are joined by globally renowned author, researcher, and educator Jim Kouzes, Fellow of the Doerr Institute for New Leaders at Rice University. Jim co-authored The Leadership Challenge with Barry Posner, 35 years ago. It has now sold nearly 3 million copies and been translated into 20+ languages. Few leadership books have stood the test of time like The Leadership Challenge, and data collected during the pandemic further validated the potency of The Five Practices® that define exemplary leadership. Please join us for this conversation with Jim about how everyday people can become extraordinary leaders.
