These days we don't earn our living we learn our living

"These days we don't earn our living we learn our living." Timothy R. Clark

I have always been a sucker for a good play on words or rhyme. I find them more memorable and today's tip is a great one.

Timothy's point is that these days we need to embody the practice of constant and self directed learning.

We all know that in a world that is changing at an accelerating rate if we stand still we will actually be left behind.

We can't afford just to do what we've always done.

As Marshall Goldsmith says "what got us here won't get us there."

We must keep learning, keep growing, keep being curious.

And doing so is almost impossible without psychological safety. We must feel safe to speak up, ask questions, make suggestions, share our perspective, without fear of repercussions.

The following podcast with Timothy explores the four stages of psychological safety and is a wonderful build on our our Tenfold Australia Masterclass with Harvard Professor Amy C. Edmondson.
