"Everything goes better with partners. Nearly anything worth doing is very difficult to do alone."#HBS Professor Rosabeth Moss Kanter
The old saying goes "it's lonely at the top". True AND false.
Many #CEOs tell me that it is far from lonely, but the attention they get is not always wanted. Everyone wants something from them!
For #CEOS it is rare to share air with someone that truly cares. No agenda other than to help & guide.
This is why partnerships are so critical, as Kanter suggests.
Partnerships can be formal or informal. The most #successful leaders are great at building both.
Informal partnerships are those with people outside your regular network, outside your company, outside your industry.
You are not bound legally.
This is truly rare air and our quest at Tenfold Australia.
Kanter calls this leadership success principle "teaming up". It is one of Kanter's six leadership success principles shared in this great TED talk: https://lnkd.in/gJYrrhb.
