"Courage is less about what you are prepared to do and more about who you are prepared to be." Carolyn Taylor
What % of time at work are you really yourself? 10%? 20? 60? 80%? What would the cost be if you were more you at work? More importantly, what would the benefit be?
We talk much these days about diversity but do we give ourselves permission to bring the rich diversity of our own lives to work?
The research is clear that the more diverse and inclusive our workforce is the more successful it will be.
However too many of us spend our days excluding our own ideas, dreams, aspirations, character and competencies from our colleagues.
Are you prepared to be you, really you?
As Mandela is often quoted as saying "Your playing small does not serve the world. As we are liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others."
What simple act could you do tomorrow to be more you? The world is waiting.
